For many of us, the 2020 holiday season will certainly look a lot different than past years. In fact, we recently learned that nearly half of Americans ages 70+ expect to either be alone or have no plans, just a few short weeks away from Thanksgiving.
We commissioned this Harris Poll to learn more about what older adults are planning to do for the holidays this year. The results are jarring. Nearly a third don’t plan to see family, and one-in-five still have no definitive plans.
In findings that likely extend well beyond the holidays, nearly half shared that they want daily communication with family. A full two-thirds of respondents wish there was a simpler technology solution to speak with family members.
